Well, the only things from my To Do List that I got done were going to the bank, and getting Ryan's car to the garage. Everything else kinda died after Ryan and the tow truck driver had to push Ryan's car in a K-turn--through a pot hole! in 90+ heat!--and I had to steer from inside the hot, mold-ridden, closed-up car.
Ryan continues to cook, although lately his materials have given him trouble. First some vegetables got killed in a sauce that refused to reduce, then there was some really low-grade hamburger, and tonight's chicken was also of disappointing quality. It's been sad, because everything on Ryan's side has been completely top notch--I got to taste the vegetables before the sauce got ornery, and they were unbelievable. Fortunately, he doesn't take it to heart, and keeps on trucking along with flavor and invention. :)
Last week he roped me into an interesting project we saw on Good Eats: limoncello! I sat on the floor and zested two pounds of lemons! :D :D :D We still haven't decided what to do with the lemons...ideas are welcome!
Tomorrow I work for four whole hours. Four people leave at 3, and LeAnna and I start at 3. I think there's only one person who will be working continuously from 2:59 to 3:01. It's an interesting day. Whee!
